Happy new year!

Sorry it’s a little late. But happy New Year to you all.

Things have started to settle down a bit here after the slightly tardy arrival of our little munchkin on 30th December.

We’re just sat on the sofa having afternoon cuddles and watching cheesy afternoon television at the moment. I can’t believe it has been a month already. She has grown so much.

There are many things you learn with your first baby, namely how to do everything with one hand. Haven’t managed to knit or crochet one handed yet though, any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully we’ll be able to get craving with the craftyness soon, but to be honest, when the cuddles are this cute, I’m in no hurry.

How has January been for you? Have you been on a craft rampage? Or did you over do it in the run up to xmas and still can’t face the needles?

New shoes!

Well not quite. A new blog look,  but just as exciting as new shoes!

With only 3 working days left until maternity leave starts, I’m very much looking forward to being able to get down to some serious crafty business before the little one arrives. Hopefully I will be able to make up for not being able to post as much as I’d intended this year.

As the colder weather is starting to creep in, I’m intending to snuggle up on the sofa with the cat, some chunky yarn and a bunch of Christmas films. What’s your favourite way to spend a chilly winter day?

Monday Monday

Hello all!

I hope all is well with you and you are managing to keep out of the howling wind.

Well, the wedding has been and gone in the blink of an eye. It was just the most perfect day even the rain held off for the important bits.

Back to work this morning after a lovely week off. Not long now until the maternity leave starts. Bump is getting quite big now. I am hoping ( keeping all fingers and toes crossed) that I’ll be a little more active on the blog in the run up to the little one arriving.

I have some lovely Christmas decoration knits coming up as well as some lovely quick knit xmas pressies. Stock up on your chunky yarn, you’re going to need it.

Catch you soon.

Good Morning!

So you may have been wondering about the lack of posts recently. Well, in addition to getting married in October, R and I are also expecting our first little bundle of babiness on Christmas Eve.

As you can imagine it’s all a bit hectic around here at the moment. I have chosen to make nearly all of the wedding bits so the house looks like the confetti monster has been poorly in it. Will post some piccies up in due course.

Also I’m working on a baby blanket for the little monkey using scraps of yarn left over from my rainbow granny stripe blanket. I’ll post instructions up in due course. V simple pattern. I’m hoping to edge it with pale yellow satin ribbon.

Hopefully it won’t be so long until the next post!

Ciao for now.
